- Crumble the tube polenta into a bowl and press it firmly into the casserole dish to create the base.

- Reduce heat, stir in black beans and diced green chilis, and warm through for about 3–4 minutes.
- Remove baked polenta and evenly spread the beef mixture over the top.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the beef and return to the oven, baking for another 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
