Ingredients

For the Sauce
  • 3 ripe peaches washed, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries washed, hulled, and sliced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper finely chopped, seeds adjusted for heat
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Equipment

  • blender or food processor
  • saucepan
  • glass jar or bottle

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by washing 3 ripe peaches and 1 cup of fresh strawberries under cool water. Slice the peaches in half, removing the pits, and chop them into small chunks. Remove the green tops from the strawberries and slice them as well. Set these vibrant fruits aside.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped peaches, strawberries, and 1 finely chopped jalapeño pepper. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Transfer the blended mixture to a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Stir in 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Allow to simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. After simmering, remove from heat and let it cool for about 10–15 minutes. Pour into a clean glass jar or bottle and seal tightly.
  5. Drizzle the hot sauce over tacos, grilled meats, or use it as a dip to impress guests.
