  • 1/4 cup Pure honey maple syrup is a good vegan alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Orange blossom essence can be swapped with rose water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract homemade vanilla can be an upgrade
  • 1 pinch Sea salt regular salt can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest adjust for stronger citrus flavor if desired
For Garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Chopped pistachios optional, can substitute with almonds or walnuts

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Chop the fresh Medjool dates and combine them with a splash of water in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes to soften.
  2. Transfer the cooled date mixture to a blender and add Greek yogurt, honey, orange blossom essence, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, being careful not to overwhip.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the date mixture using a rubber spatula.
  5. Mix in the freshly grated orange zest, stirring gently until even.
  6. Spoon the mousse into serving cups, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  7. Before serving, garnish with chopped pistachios.
