Caramel Layer
  • 1 cup Caramel Bits Unwrapped caramels can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons Milk/Cream For adjusting caramel melting consistency.
Crunch
  • 3/4 cup Dry Roasted Peanuts Feel free to swap with favorite nuts.
Chocolate Topping
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips A blend of milk and dark chocolate is best.
  • 1/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter

Equipment

  • 9x9 inch baking pan
  • mixing bowl
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • spatula

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking pan, follow the package directions for the brownie mix, ensuring to mix until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out slightly moist but not wet. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of marshmallow fluff and 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter. Mix until smooth; if needed, microwave for about 10-15 seconds to soften. Spread the nougat evenly over the cooled brownies.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of caramel bits with 2 tablespoons of milk. Microwave for about 30 seconds, then stir until melted. If thick, microwave for an additional 10 seconds. Pour the warm caramel mixture over the nougat layer, spreading it evenly.
  4. Immediately sprinkle 3/4 cup of dry roasted peanuts over the caramel layer. Press them in gently to ensure they stick.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of chocolate chips with 1/4 cup of peanut butter. Microwave for about 30 seconds, then stir until melted. Pour this topping over the layered brownies and spread it evenly.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool at room temperature for about an hour, or until the chocolate topping is set. For cleaner cuts, refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes. Slice and enjoy!
