Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Caprese Panini
  1. Begin by selecting your Ciabatta or Sourdough bread and lightly brush the outside with olive oil.
  2. Layer fresh mozzarella, thick slices of ripe tomatoes, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, fresh basil leaves, and drizzle of balsamic glaze on one slice of bread.
  3. Top with a second slice of bread, oiled side up, and grill over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the sandwich using a spatula and grill the other side for another 3-5 minutes until both sides are crispy and cheese melts.
  5. Remove from heat, let sit for a minute, slice diagonally and serve warm with extra balsamic glaze if desired.
