  • 3 tablespoons brewer's yeast optional
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips or dark chocolate
For Additional Flavor
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts such as almonds or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit like dried cranberries or raisins

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond butter, shredded coconut, old-fashioned oats, ground flax seed, and brewer's yeast. Stir until uniform and sticky (about 2-3 minutes).
  2. Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  3. Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball. Repeat for all mixture, approximately 15-20 bites.
  4. Place formed balls on a lined baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Transfer bites to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for longer preservation.
