Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. While the cupcakes are baking, gently heat the jam in a small saucepan until liquid.
  7. Once cooled, core each cupcake and fill with jam.
  8. Beat the butter until creamy, gradually adding powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla until fluffy; mix in food coloring.
  9. Frost the tops of each cupcake and garnish with fresh raspberries or spooky decorations.
