To Serve
  • Ice Chilled ice Crushed ice works well for slushier textures.
  • 3 cups Sparkling water Chilled, to give a fizzy lift.

Preparation Steps
  1. Gather all your ingredients for the Homemade Blueberry Soda: fresh blueberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Rinse the blueberries gently under cold water.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes until thickened and the blueberries burst.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to separate syrup from solids.
  5. Allow syrup to cool to room temperature and transfer to a glass jar.
  6. To serve, fill a glass with ice, add syrup, top with sparkling water, stir gently, and enjoy!
