Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and granulated sugar. Allow to sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in melted unsalted butter and salt until well mixed.
  3. Gradually add all-purpose flour, stirring until dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. After rising, punch dough down, divide into 12 pieces, and shape each into a pretzel.
  7. Bring 10 cups of water to a boil, add baking soda. Boil pretzels for 30 seconds.
  8. Remove boiled pretzels, place on the baking sheet, and brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with holiday sprinkles.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
