  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream Or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Opt for pure vanilla
  • 1 lime Lime Zest Add extra for more flavor
Taquitos
  • 8 small Flour Tortillas
  • 2 inches Vegetable Oil For frying
Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Optional: add nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Melted, can use dairy-free

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Gradually fold in sour cream, vanilla extract, and lime zest.
  2. Lay out tortillas, spread cheesecake filling down the center, and roll them tightly.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F. Fry taquitos for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Brush fried taquitos with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over them.
  5. Serve immediately for the best taste.
