Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your 9X13 brownie mix according to the package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe. Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread it evenly. Bake for approximately 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unwrapped caramels and 2 tablespoons of milk. Heat in the microwave for about 1.5–2 minutes, removing to stir every 30 seconds until smooth and creamy. Stir in the chopped pecans, ensuring they're evenly coated. Spread the caramel-pecan mixture evenly over the cooled brownie base.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together 6 tablespoons of softened butter and ¾ cup of creamy peanut butter until well combined. Gradually add in 1½ cups of powdered sugar and an additional 2 tablespoons of milk, continuing to mix until the topping is smooth. Spoon dollops of this mixture over the caramel layer and press down for an even layer.
  4. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1½ teaspoons of oil. Heat for about 1 minute, stirring until fully melted and smooth. Pour the chocolate over the peanut butter topping, using a spatula to spread it evenly. Sprinkle with salt if desired.
  5. Refrigerate the assembled brownies for at least 30 minutes to set. Once chilled, cut into squares. Enjoy these decadent treats shared with friends or as a personal indulgence!

Ensure your brownies are fully cooled before adding layers to avoid toppings sliding off. Refrigerating makes cutting easier and blending flavors more effective.
