For the Crunchy Topping
  • ½ cup Plain Breadcrumbs Panko can be used for extra crunch.

Preparation Steps
  1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook pasta until al dente, 7-9 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Roux: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the same pot over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Whisk in the Cream: Gradually add 1 cup of heavy cream while whisking. Cook until smooth and slightly thickened.
  4. Add the Cheese: Reduce heat to low and stir in Boursin cheese and cheddar until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Fold cooked pasta into cheese sauce until fully coated and warm.
  6. Prepare the Breadcrumb Topping: Melt remaining butter in a skillet, add breadcrumbs, and toast until golden brown.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Transfer mac and cheese to bowls, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and serve immediately.
